TECHNIQUES:
1- REAR TWO-HANDED CHOKE DEFENSE: Although the rear two-handed choke is an inefficient choking technique, it does rear itself with untrained grapplers and assailants. This move can be easily countered with the previously used pinching hand control to not only peel off the attack but turn it into wrist lock submission or wrist lock generated take-down.
2- REAR BEAR HUG ESCAPE (OVER ARMS): The over-the-arm rear bear hug defense is a marvel in the way that it uses leverage and hip placement to effortlessly lift a much heavier opponent. This is also an excellent way to get used to the mechanics of the second haymaker punch counter from pp.
3- REAR BEAR HUG DEFENSE (OVER ARMS) WIDE STANCE: When in a dangerous street encounter, anything goes, and in this case, a strong heel kick to the groin and rearward head butt to the nose will help to loosen the attackers over the arms bear hug. The preceding throw is an excellent follow-up to this opening barrage.
