So I've been diving into the Russian tie 2-on-1 instructional set to help with the stand up. I compete mostly in the gi and was curious of the opinions of the adaptation and utilization of that system for gi competition.

What I am thinking is that there's an ability to use this but will require grip breaks and more hand fighting in the stand up to get the entries correct.

Any additional thoughts or suggestions on adapting this would be welcomed.

With the gi things are different because of the grips.
I suggest you to take a look on the JUDO FOR BJJ course by DOM BELL. That will help your stand up game with gi.

The Russian Tie course by coach Fred leavy is more for your NO-Gi game :) Yes, you can adapt some of the techniques in the gi as well. But when your opponent has the grips it makes a little bit difficult.
