BJJ Fanatics Jiu-Jitsu Training Camp Experience: DAYS 3&4 🔥

Professor Galvao taught a three-hour No-Gi seminar, focusing on the Octopus Guard. The technique was connected with Andy Murasaki’s seminar in Day 2, which everyone found helpful!
Professor Galvao also led the second seminar that day, giving a special breakdown of his fight against Braulio Estima at 2008 Worlds, where he won by submission.
He used it as an opportunity to show the importance of breaking grips, of knowing your opponent’s strategy, how to apply pressure at the right moments, how to use your guard to create distance and control your opponent…
Sunday morning, Day 4, was the last session of the camp. It began with a Q&A with Professor Galvao, Andy and Lucas where they answered lots of different questions based on what they learned in the seminars.
The camp ended with some live rolls, and then some açaà which we had brought for everyone.
As you’ll see in the video, the students who came loved the camp!
It was a truly incredible experience and it was a real pleasure for us to host this event. We love sharing our knowledge with the world – whether that’s to visitors who come to San Diego, or through our online academy.
