Rafael Vasconcelos received his black belt from Leandro Lo in October 2017, before moving to California to train at the Atos Jiu-Jitsu Headquarters under Andre Galvao. He is a 2x IBJJF American Nationals Champion (brown and black); an IBJJF South American Championships medalist; and an IBJJF World Championship silver medalist (purple).
