Rear Body Lock Defense With Lift: When an opponent has his arms under your arms in a bear hug, your biggest risk is being lifted and thrown. Make your body feel heavy by hooking his leg with your leg and lifting your arms above your head to feel taller. Once he puts you down to rest, continue with the previous knee bar counter.
- Your partner begins by standing behind you. He wraps his arms around your waist, under your arms.
- Your partner lifts you up into the air. Use your right foot to hook around his right leg. Lift your hands high into the air.
- Continue pushing your weight into him as you lift your arms and hook his leg. You are securing your weight to him so he cannot easily move you or throw you.
- He puts you down because he cannot bear your weight forever. When he does, stay heavy by bending at your waist and going onto all-fours.
- Reach between your legs and grab his right ankle.
- Pull up on his ankle as you stand up.
- Bring his ankle to your chest. Your partner will fall to his back.
- Keep your hips lower than his knee and pinch your knees together. Pull up on his ankle to bring it to your chest and finish the kneebar.
